It Wasn’t Much is a collection of short biographies which highlight the incredible,
real-life adventures if a few heroic Oklahomans, detailing their courage, innovation,
and character. The heroes in this book were ordinary people who found the strength
within themselves to make sacrifices. They risked their reputations and sometimes
their lives to help others and to achieve a greater common good.

the construction of a nuclear power plant in her small town.

Ruben Rivers: a soldier who fought prejudice at home and Germans on the battlefiled
in World War II.

Felicia Daugherty: a woman who braved ignorance and disease and saved a city during
a flu epidemic.

Robinson Risner: a fighter pilot shot down over Vietnam who overcame the agony of
torture and imprisonment to become a leader and an inspiration for other prisoners.
